About Us
Welcome to the St. Catherine of Alexandria (SC) and St. Joan of Arc (SJOA) Cluster! We are a vibrant Roman Catholic community located in the beautiful Lake Country area of southeast Wisconsin. Our cluster brings together two historic parishes, each with a rich legacy of faith and service.
Our History
St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish was established in 1847 and has been a cornerstone of the community for over 175 years. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to living out the teachings of Christ, St. Catherine's has a long tradition of serving the spiritual and social needs of its parishioners.
St. Joan of Arc Parish was founded in 1953 and has grown into a dynamic community dedicated to worship, education, and service. The parish school, St. Joan of Arc School, provides a nurturing environment for students from 3K through 8th grade, emphasizing academic excellence and Catholic values.
Our Purpose
We are called by God to:
Teach His truth and His word: Through our religious education programs, we strive to deepen the faith of our community members of all ages.
Celebrate in worship: Our liturgies and sacraments are central to our community life, bringing us together to celebrate God's love.
Serve others: We are committed to sharing our God-given talents through various ministries and outreach programs that support the wider community.
Our Activities
- Worship and Sacraments: We offer regular Masses, including live-streamed services, and provide opportunities for parishioners to participate as greeters, ushers, servers, readers, Eucharistic Ministers, and musicians.
- Religious Education: Our comprehensive religious education programs cater to all age groups, from elementary and middle school students to high school youth and adults. These programs include service projects, retreats, and preparation for sacraments such as First Communion and Confirmation.
- Community Service: We engage in numerous outreach activities, including the St. Vincent de Paul Ministry, Elizabeth Ministry, and various seasonal activities. Our community services aim to support the sick, homebound, and those in need.
- Parish Life: Our vibrant parish life includes social groups like the Sheepshead Card Club, Book Club, and Quilters, as well as health and wellness initiatives such as blood pressure screenings and blood donor drives.
We invite you to join our community and be part of our mission to love and serve God and one another. Whether you are new to the area or a long-time resident, you will find a welcoming home at St. Catherine and St. Joan of Arc Cluster.
