Fundraising & School Support

To financially support the school and the parish and school athletic program, various fundraisers are held throughout the year. These events include an annual appeal to support the school budget as well as SCRIP and other fundraisers as needed.  We treat everyone like family and work together to build true connection & community.  

St. Joan of Arc is truly a one-of-a-kind place to be and we are asking you to help us continue giving roots and wings to the children of St. Joan of Arc School.

Please consider making a generous gift to our “2023: Roots and Wings” appeal. Every donor that contributes or pledges $250 or more to this appeal will be remembered and honored on a tree mural in the school. Each $250 donation offsets the parish subsidy of one month of a child’s education. This special appeal will take place during the month of November. Individual and business donors must complete their donation by December 31, 2023 to be included on the plaque and/or receive the notecard gift.

SCRIP Gift Cards

Instead of paying cash or using credit/debit cards, purchase Scrip cards (gift cards) and use them for your regular household expenses, for vacations, and traveling.  Select from a wide variety of restaurants, gas stations, hotels, department stores, movie theaters and specialty stores.  When family and friends take advantage of the scrip program, SJOA earns profit!

Here’s how it works.  Scrip is a national gift certificate fundraising program.  Consumers purchase gift cards at face value through the scrip program but will earn an immediate rebate percentage for SJOA that’s typically between 3% and 15% depending on the retailer.  Then the consumer will use that gift card on their normal purchases.  No extra money was spent!  It’s fundraising while you shop!  For example:  A Pick N Save card valued at $100 has a 4% donation rate.  When this card is purchased through SCRIP, $4 is donated to SJOA.  When this gift card is redeemed at a Pick N Save store, the value of received merchandise is $100.

Gifts

Gifts from alumni, parents, students, friends, corporations and foundations help St. Joan of Arc School continue to prepare students with a solid Catholic education and confidence to enter high school successfully. Donations provide supplies that support the curriculum in the areas of art, music, physical education, science, office and technology. Contributions also help off-set larger purchases for classroom textbooks, library research materials and newer equipment. St. Joan of Arc School is a non-profit entity with 501(c)3 status.

You can help make a difference for our students by:

• Making a cash gift to St. Joan of Arc School—ask if your employer will match your gift. Generally, Human Resources Department personnel should be able to assist you.
• Including St. Joan of Arc Parish in your estate plans.
• Purchase items from our Amazon Wishlist by clicking HERE
• Praying for our students, their families, teachers and staff of our parish as well as our benefactors and our volunteers.

School Fund

Contributions to School Fund are placed in the general operating budget and used to support fine arts, technology, or other non-budgeted curriculum enhancements. Gifts to the School Fund are used within the school year.

Special Interests

Specific programs such as technology, music, fine arts, individual classrooms and / or school-wide improvements, etc have received directed donations to enhance areas not supported within the school operating or Home and School Association budget. Gifts of this nature benefit the parish as well as the school.  Contact the Principal for more information.
