For November 17, we will discuss Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter. Andrea thinks she knows her mother well, but after a shooting at a mall, she is thrown into a whole new reality regarding her mother and her mother’s past. Laura, her mother, had hoped she had left the past behind. How will they both deal with Laura’s past?

On January 19, 2021, we will discuss another book by Jodi Picoult, Small Great Things. This is a fictitious novel, but surely a current topic, about white privilege. It is written from the perspectives of each of the three main characters, so you see their strikingly distinct perspectives.
